Zoning Bylaw Enforcement
The qathet Regional District has the authority to enforce zoning bylaws in Electoral Areas A, B, C and D. Enforcement action is initiated on a complaint-driven basis. If your complaint is not related to a zoning bylaw, please contact the General Manager of Administrative Services by email: administration@qathet.ca or call the main office 604-485-2260. If you believe a property may contravene a zoning bylaw, please fill out the Zoning Bylaw Complaint Form below:
Addressing
The Regional District assigns addresses in Electoral Areas A, B, C and D under the authority of the Civic Addressing Regulatory Bylaw No. 585, 2023 (PDF). A visible civic address is critical for the provision of emergency services.

Board of Variance
The Board of Variance Bylaw (PDF) provides citizens with an avenue for appeal on the interpretation and strict application of certain zoning regulations under specific circumstances defined in the Local Government Act.
