Request for Proposal: Municipal Solid Waste Hauling
The qathet Regional District (qRD) is seeking proposals from competent and capable transportation service providers to haul municipal solid waste (MSW) from the Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) in Powell River, BC to the Westran Services Intermodal Facility (Westran) in New Westminster, BC. The qRD moves approximately 6,300 metric tonnes of MSW annually and averages 260 shipments per year.
The successful proponent will be responsible for transporting MSW from the RRC to the Westran facility, using RDC rail containers and returning empty rail containers to the RRC in Powell River, for a five (5) year contract term.
Sealed Proposals must be submitted to qRD at the Closing Location and before the Closing Date and Time as indicated on the cover page of this RFP.
