The Sunshine Coast Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP), in the BC Timber Sales (BCTS) Chinook business area, shows the location of forest development units in the Sunshine Coast natural resource district.

 

The Sunshine Coast FSP provides the results and strategies BCTS will follow to ensure sustainable forest management and meet the legal requirements of the Forest and Range Practices Act and regulations.

To ensure timely consideration of your comments & questions, we request all engagement be sent to BCTS by April 13, 2026. Please note that feedback from previous operating plans remains on file, and BCTS looks forward to continued engagement in 2026 and beyond. For clarity, the formal referral period for the 2026–2030 Operating Plan is February 9 to April 13, 2026. This timeline is intended to support timely review; however, engagement related to the Operating Plan and wildfire resiliency planning is not limited to this period.

This plan outlines the locations of proposed cutblocks, roads, and associated log‑handling areas for BCTS operations within the Sunshine Coast Natural Resource District. Sharing this information is an important step in maintaining transparent communication with interest holders and understanding any concerns or potential impacts that the proposed activities may have on your values, interests, or land-based initiatives.
