The regulations regarding outdoor burning, including campfires, vary throughout our region. Most rural areas of the region are regulated by the provincial Wildfire Act. The City of Powell River, Savary Island, and Van Anda and Gillies Bay on Texada Island have their own local bylaws regulating outdoor burning.
