DESCRIPTION:In the qathet Region\, the community has a long history of coming together to focus on issues of economic inclusion\, diversity and supporting children to thrive. Our health and well-being are determined by the social\, economic and physical environments that we live in – this means things like our income\, housing\, education\, life in early childhood\, access to healthcare\, nutritious food and sense of belonging to our community. \n  \nThe Regional Social Planning Program invites all members of the community – neighbours\, friends\, business owners\, young and old\, whether you are new\, or have lived in the qathet region for generations. We invite you to join us at one of two workshops in the Town Centre Hotel in the Ballroom\, located at 4660 Joyce Avenue\, Powell River\, to discuss ideas to strengthen the fabric of community\, to deepen connections and relationships\, so that together we can create a region where everyone thrives. Food and beverages will be provided. \n  \nAttendance is by registration only. Given that food will be provided we ask that you RSVP with the day you can attended by registering here or by contacting Ashley Van Zwietering by email: Avanzwietering@powellriver.ca or phone: 604-485-8613. \nEvent details will be emailed to you following registration. \n\nWednesday\, July 6 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm; OR\nSaturday\, July 9 from noon to 3:00pm\n\nBring to the community conversation your ideas\, stories and passions.  Raise your questions\, recommendations and concerns\, to speak\, listen and learn together.
